Big

Objects in mirror are closer than they appear. Object in this picture is very much bigger than she appears.

The one thing that surprises me with this breed is the fact that despite coming from the Continent of Africa, she really doesn't handle the heat here in Az. I understand that the temperature is higher here, but I would think it would not be quite as tragic to our little lady as it really seems to be.

So here we are just trying to survive one more summer with lots of water and thank goodness--an Air Conditioner! It was supposed to break in the spring of this year it is so old, but knock on wood it just keeps chuggin.

If you are still with me and reading this, big hugs to you my friend. I have been a wee bit absent from the blogging world for two little cute reasons and also to help the other boss around here create a brilliant business making and selling longboards. I hope to give you a peak to the site soon. With this economy it sounds like a bad idea, but can it really get any worse? I hope you are doing well. What are you looking forward to this Fall?

  1. We have not done very well with the heat this year either. But we have had one of the hottest summers ever. The whole month of July was just brutal.

We know well how busy life can be, especially with two young bipeds. Just blog when you can so we know all is well in your world. Paws crossed for that a/c to keep chugging and for the business to do well.

Darwin hates the heat too! And in Seattle AC is not a common thing!

  5. It's nice to hear from you :) And hang in there in the heat! In Finland we already has quite autumnish weather. It's below 20 celcius now almost all the time (I have heard there has been even frost in some parts of Finland already O_o I think that's too early. After all August is a summer month in my opinion) and leaves are starting to change colours from green to yellow/red/brown. So the autumn isn't far away and September is the first autumn month.

I still hope it's going to be warm and nice this month. Me and my partner has a summer vacation now and we are going for a trip :)

  6. Love the blog. I have another African dog, a ridgeback. We live in the tropics; she copes well with the heat but, having experienced the Arizona heat in July, realise that our heat is nothing like your heat! I hadn't heard of the boerboel breed - what a lovely dog :)

  8. Hello Africa. It's funny how we don't reflect where we come from. I'm cross husky but I like lying out in the hot Mediterranean sun. Well, not at siesta time obviously, but mostly I spend all day out on the terrace.

You look very gorgeous in that piccy.
