She Rests

After telling Africa to "go to bed" a thousand and times and rewarding her with a treat every time, she has finally started to go to her bed on her own. I really appreciate this because she already takes up a lot of space on my floor.I like her to be in her corner out of the way. She is only 4 months old and is 35 pounds. She is more than twice the weight of our son who is also a big boy and was born at the same time. She amazes us!

  1. What a cutie! To answer the question you posted on our bloggy: Our mom walked into an antique store, a very long time ago and saw a big, fuzzy doggie that kept putting it's face in Mom's hand. The dog wasn't aggressive at all...she just kept following our mom and asking to be petted. At that time, our mom's mini Schnauzer was almost on her way to the Rainbow Bridge, so our parents were researching what kind of dog to get next. The lady who owned the dog, in the antique store, told our mom that it was an Airedale. They found a breeder and once Daisy went to the Bridge, our parents got their first Aire-girl. Her hame was Pockets and she went to the bridge almost 8 years ago. Hope you enjoyed our story!

    Aire-hugs,

  3. Africa is just beyond cute and training dogs as your finding out actually teaches us so much about ourselves as well as them. They are so worth the time you invest into them aren't they. Hudson is envious of Africa's weight as she has him beat in poundage already....

  4. awe... she's big! I have a friend with a 2 year old male and he has a HUGE pumpkin head. Its amazing how fast the giant breeds grow. Its hard when they are 6 months old huge and still act like babies but look like adults. I cant wait to get saint puppies when my gang has all gone.
